LEGAL WAY IN EUROPE
We give you detailed knowledge and experience of regional
and national regulations. You can act safely and effectively in this
complex arena. Do not have to worry about Europe's different
cultures, legal jurisdictions and languages; for us, it's home!
OUR LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
We are a European 'one-stop' solution, providing extensive local knowledge and expertise to entrepreneurs
from all over the world. As pan-European law firm we make European IP work for you.
ACT IN RAPIDLY
It is getting harder to obtain and manage IP in Europe. The centralized European
Patent Office application procedures takes several years! Making you suffer
from enduring uncertainty about the effectiveness of IP-instruments and your
return on investing. It can be much more attractive to choose an alternative
route. Our attorneys have the expertise to find those routes.
THE ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
We bring you our local legal knowledge and we have extensive technical expertise across
the full range of technologies. That’s why we know how to find you alternative routes. For
example you could file a carefully chosen bundle of national patent applications in the relevant
national jurisdictions. This makes it generally possible to move faster in securing and enforcing
national patent rights in response to rapidly changing market developments. So connect with
us and let our expertise connect your ideas with Europe!

WHAT’S GOING ON IN EUROPE
12 July 2015. Weekend plans lacking a certain je ne sais quoi? This celebration in and around Borough Market in London (UK) of all things Français for the country's national day will feature all sorts of activities, foods, games and performances from across the channel.
Play some boules or petanque, chop up watermelon using a guillotine and enjoy plenty of bread, cheese and wine at the many tasting sessions. The party will round off with the open-air Bal Populaire (6-10pm), so your evening will be filled with dancing and Gallic merriment.
At long last, the EPO have made a decision on the renewal fee structure for the Unitary Patent (UP). On 24 June 2015, the EPO’s Select Committee decided to adopt the ‘True Top 4′ proposal. Under the True Top 4 proposal the UP renewal fees will correspond to the total sum of the renewal fees currently paid for the four most frequently validated countries (Germany, France, UK and the Netherlands).
The treaty setting up the UP is yet to be ratified, and significant features of the system still need to be settled.

From 18 June 2015 to 23 August 2015, The Parade will take place in The Netherlands. The Parade is a 67-day, travelling theatre festival that hits Holland’s four main cities in succession: Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam. At each stop, The Parade brings a splash of wild culture transforming their parks into passages lined with colorful carnival tents, entertaining acts, eateries and a carousel.
This festival is a fun, cultural and diverse experience where many of the startling performances are produced especially for the Parade. Based on the ancient principles of funfairs and the carnival, the Parade encourages artists to express themselves in special short performances and interact with the audience directly. The shows are performed several times every night so that visitors don’t have to miss a thing.

The European Patent Office (EPO) received more than 273 110 patent filings in 2014, an increase of around 3% over 2013, and a new all-time high. "These figures are only a first estimate, but they confirm Europe's continued strength as a hub of innovation," said EPO President Benoît Battistelli. "Demand for patents at the EPO is up for the fifth year in a row, reaching a new peak," he said.
Preliminary data show that last year filings originating from Europe remained stable (+0.3%). There was strong growth from the US (+6.7%), which reinforced its leading position in the country ranking, and very strong growth from China (+16.8%). Korea saw moderate growth (+1.4%), while patent filings from Japan saw a drop (-3.8%).
